Twenty20 international, Melbourne: Australia v India

Mahendra Dhoni after the semi-final win
India beat Australia in the World Twenty20 semi-final in September
Mahendra Dhoni is looking for a new start to India's tour of Australia as he takes over as captain for the limited-overs matches.

With Anil Kumble at the helm, India lost a Test series littered with on-field arguments 2-1.

India and Australia play a Twenty20 international in Melbourne on Friday before the 50-over series.

"We don't really care about whatever has happened so far. It's a fresh start," said wicket-keeper Dhoni.

"There's always chit-chat going on between the players.

"If nothing controversial is said, I think both the teams will be happy with it."

India won the toss and elected to bat first against a team resting Ricky Ponting. Michael Clarke was named captain.
